I need your help with a magazine article

So the other night a poster on a message board gave me a brilliant idea. She thought I should write a blog on the people you run into on the web, and I took it a step further and queried a magazine and wouldn't you know it, I heard back right away from a magazine interested in the premise. The idea is for me to follow several boards (I already do) and basically write about the posters. Obviously, I won't use real names. So I prepared a little questionaire for anybody who would like to help me out. We are lucky on this board that we have a pm feature, so nobody would have to worry about their email address. However, if you would prefer, I've set up a disposable email address to send to. Garlic, Jalapeno Dill Pickles

3 quarts water
1 quart vinegar
1 cup salt
cucumbers
garlic
fresh dill
jalapenos

Boil pickling jars. Wash cucumbers and stuff them in the jars. Add a flower of dill, a couple cloves of garlic and a couple jalapenos.

In another pot boil the water and vinegar. When the liquid comes to a fast boil pour it over the cucumbers in the jars. Put the lids on the jar and make sure they have a tight seal. Store for 10 days to 3 weeks depending on preference of crunchiness and fermentation.

Chili Soup

1 pkg. elbow noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 red onion diced
Garlic salt to taste
Garlic pepper to taste
1 can tomato juice
Chili Sauce

Put noodles in a large pot to boil.
In a skillet brown the ground beef, onion, garlic salt and garlic pepper.
When noodles are almost done add 1/2 can of tomato juice.
When ground beef mixture is done, drain the meat and return to the skillet, reduce heat and add the rest of the tomato juice to simmer.
When the noodles are done add the ground beef mixture.
Serve in soup bowls and top with Chili Sauce.

Homemade Tomato Soup

1 large can tomato juice

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Worcestershire to taste

Garlic salt to taste

½ cup flour

1 cup water

Bring the tomato juice to a boil and remove from heat. Add salt, pepper, Worcestershire, and garlic salt. Mix flour and water together and add to the pot. Bring to a boil one more time.

Enjoy! Don’t go overboard on the Worcestershire or garlic salt.

Split Pea Soup

	This one is so easy.... 1pkg. dry peas 1 small breakfast ham Garlic Salt Garlic Pepper Put the peas in the crockpot with water (enough water so it looks right, about 8 cups) Garlic Salt and Pepper to taste ( I use a LOT of garlic pepper. Yummy!!) Cook on low for 3ish hours. Cut ham into bite sized pieces and add to crockpot. Cook on low for another 3ish hours. Stir to mix it up because the peas will settle to the bottom and the water to the top.

Nestle Toll House Cookie Recipe

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup (2 sticks, 1/2 pound) butter, softened

1/4 cup granulated [white] sugar

1 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 small box vanilla pudding

2 eggs

2 cups semi sweet chocolate chip morsels

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and pudding in large mixer bowl. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition; gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE in preheated 375-degree [Fahrenheit] oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
